The work Dark Event Horizon by Eric Orr was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2014. It achieved a price of USD 2,813.00 (€ 2,054.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eric Orr achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Other Side of Green, 1988 in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 27,812.50 (€ 23,119.29).

Die Arbeit Dark Event Horizon von Eric Orr kam im Juni 2014 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.813,00 (€ 2.054,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eric Orr erzielen.
