This artwork by Eric Orr achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. In the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction, the work Red Infinity, 1989 sold for USD 14,025.00 (€ 13,310.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eric Orr; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Other Side of Green, 1988 sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of USD 27,812.50 (€ 23,119.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eric Orr erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Red Infinity, 1989 für USD 14.025,00 (€ 13.310,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Eric Orr; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Other Side of Green, 1988 im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 27.812,50 (€ 23.119,29).
