In September last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California, which included the work Black Void, 1988 by Eric Orr. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,475.00 (€ 11,729.53), 64% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eric Orr; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Other Side of Green, 1988 sold at auction in April 2021 with the realized price of USD 27,812.50 (€ 23,119.29).

Im September letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black Void, 1988 von Eric Orr zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.475,00 (€ 11.729,53) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Eric Orr; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Other Side of Green, 1988 im April 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 27.812,50 (€ 23.119,29).
