This artwork by Emilio Greco achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2012. In the Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Bagnante sold for USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,219.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Emilio Greco achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande Bagnante II in November 2008 with an auction result of USD 260,500.00 (€ 205,215.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emilio Greco erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Bagnante für USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.219,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Emilio Greco erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande Bagnante II im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 260.500,00 (€ 205.215,06).
