This artwork by Emerson Woelffer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2011. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction, the work Posta Area sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,534.69) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Emerson Woelffer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 7th Street sold at auction in January 2011 with the realized price of USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,848.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Emerson Woelffer erzielte im September 2011 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Posta Area für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.534,69) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Emerson Woelffer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit 7th Street im Januar 2011 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.848,34).
