Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Forio, 1959 by Emerson Woelffer was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April 2021. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,179.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Emerson Woelffer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 7th Street, which sold at auction in January 2011 for USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,848.34).

Die Arbeit Forio, 1959 von Emerson Woelffer kam im April 2021 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.179,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Emerson Woelffer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 7th Street beobachtet, die im Januar 2011 für USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.848,34) versteigert wurde.
