Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rain and the Poet (Study), 1977 by Emerson Woelffer was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,847.83) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Emerson Woelffer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 7th Street in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,848.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rain and the Poet (Study), 1977 von Emerson Woelffer kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.847,83) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Emerson Woelffer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 7th Street im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.848,34).
