The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,678.28), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elmer Nelson Bischoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Cliffs in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 564,800.00 (€ 440,115.33).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.678,28) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elmer Nelson Bischoff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Cliffs im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 564.800,00 (€ 440.115,33).
