Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Three Bathers, 1960 by Elmer Nelson Bischoff was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. It achieved a price of USD 176,775.00 (€ 160,122.28), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Elmer Nelson Bischoff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Cliffs, which sold at auction in May 2006 for USD 564,800.00 (€ 440,115.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Three Bathers, 1960 von Elmer Nelson Bischoff kam im April diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 176.775,00 (€ 160.122,28) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von Elmer Nelson Bischoff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Cliffs beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für USD 564.800,00 (€ 440.115,33) versteigert wurde.
