The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,200.00 (€ 21,269.41), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Elmer Nelson Bischoff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Cliffs in May 2006 with an auction result of USD 564,800.00 (€ 440,115.33).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 21.269,41) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Elmer Nelson Bischoff erzielen.
