Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work The Hanging Garden, The Invention Of Drawing by Elliott Hundley. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,172.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Elliott Hundley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landslide in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 158,500.00 (€ 123,288.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Hanging Garden, The Invention Of Drawing von Elliott Hundley zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.172,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Elliott Hundley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landslide im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 158.500,00 (€ 123.288,74).
