Upper estimate price exceeded by 53 %.
In October 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included this untitled work by Ellen Gallagher. The »bidding war« ended at USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,267.56), 53% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ellen Gallagher achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Deluxe in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 987,750.00 (€ 760,509.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 53 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ellen Gallagher zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.267,56) und damit 53% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ellen Gallagher erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Deluxe im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 987.750,00 (€ 760.509,70).
