Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eleanore Mikus could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2014 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open/NYC auction, the work Tablet III changed hands for USD 15,000.00 (€ 11,878.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eleanore Mikus - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tablet 183, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 52,500.00 (€ 39,024.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eleanore Mikus konnte im September 2014 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open/NYC wechselte die Arbeit Tablet III für USD 15.000,00 (€ 11.878,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Eleanore Mikus mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tablet 183 beobachtet, die im November 2011 für USD 52.500,00 (€ 39.024,75) versteigert wurde.
