Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ate by Eleanore Mikus was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,971.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Eleanore Mikus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tablet 183 in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 39,024.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ate von Eleanore Mikus kam im November 2013 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.971,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eleanore Mikus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tablet 183 im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 39.024,75).
