Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2012 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session, which included the work Four White Bands by Eleanore Mikus. The »bidding war« ended at USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,604.50), 19% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Eleanore Mikus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tablet 183 in November 2011 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 39,024.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four White Bands von Eleanore Mikus zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.604,50) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eleanore Mikus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tablet 183 im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 39.024,75).
