This artwork by Edward W. Quigley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2015. In the A Visual Odyssey Selections from LAC (Lambert Art Collection) Staged by Jacques Grange auction, the work SKF, c.1935 sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,846.56) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Edward W. Quigley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Selected industrial abstractions, 1930s sold at auction in February 2007 with the realized price of USD 6,000.00 (€ 4,535.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 83 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Edward W. Quigley erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A Visual Odyssey Selections from LAC (Lambert Art Collection) Staged by Jacques Grange wurde die Arbeit SKF, c.1935 für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.846,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Edward W. Quigley; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Selected industrial abstractions, 1930s im Februar 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 4.535,15).
