It achieved a price of EUR 10,200.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46 %. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edgar Fernhout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zee (ochtend) in June 2017 with an auction result of EUR 122,500.00.

Die Arbeit Schouwsche Dijk Achter Brouwershaven von Edgar Fernhout kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 10.200,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Edgar Fernhout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zee (ochtend) im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 122.500,00.
