This artwork by Ed Clark achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in October 2020. In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work Three etchings, for For the Sake of the Search sold for USD 12,600.00 (€ 10,818.24) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ed Clark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Made in Manhattan in March 2021 with an auction result of USD 746,000.00 (€ 635,272.08).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ed Clark erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit Three etchings, for For the Sake of the Search für USD 12.600,00 (€ 10.818,24) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ed Clark erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Made in Manhattan im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 746.000,00 (€ 635.272,08).
