Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Man With Crutch by Duane Hanson was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2005. The price achieved of USD 216,000.00 (€ 174,912.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 180,000.00 – 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Duane Hanson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cowboy, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 428,400.00 (€ 399,217.22).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 216.000,00 (€ 174.912,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 180.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden.
