It achieved a price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,398.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 33%. Admittedly, works by Donald Moffett have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gold / Passage in March 2017 with an auction result of USD 93,750.00 (€ 87,633.20).

Die Arbeit Lot 113099 von Donald Moffett wurde im Mai 2013 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 15.398,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 33%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Donald Moffett auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gold / Passage im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 87.633,20).
