The work Untitled by Domoto Hisao was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 475,000.00 (€ 53,485.70), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Domoto Hisao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Painting 1960-14 in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 219,049.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Untitled von Domoto Hisao wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 475.000,00 (€ 53.485,70) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Domoto Hisao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Painting 1960-14 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 219.049,99).
