Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Composition by Domoto Hisao for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 39,568.49). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Domoto Hisao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Painting 1960-14 in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 219,049.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Composition von Domoto Hisao für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 39.568,49) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Domoto Hisao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Painting 1960-14 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 219.049,99).
