This work without title by Domoto Hisao was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The auction ended at the price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 35,410.74), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Domoto Hisao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Painting 1960-14 in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 219,049.99).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Domoto Hisao wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 35.410,74) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Domoto Hisao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Painting 1960-14 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 219.049,99).
