Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Domoto Hisao was sold in the Contemporary Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The price achieved of HKD 525,000.00 (€ 61,968.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domoto Hisao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Painting 1960-14, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 219,049.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Domoto Hisao wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 525.000,00 (€ 61.968,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Domoto Hisao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Painting 1960-14 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 219.049,99) versteigert wurde.
