A top price for Domoto Hisao
This artwork by Domoto Hisao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Painting 1960-14 sold for HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 219,049.99) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 650,000.00. This high result makes Painting 1960-14 the most expensive artwork by Domoto Hisao that we have observed at auctions so far.
