The work Painting 1960-14 by Domoto Hisao was sold in the Brushwork III – Abstract Masters auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in November 2018. It achieved a price of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 70,542.26), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 30%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Domoto Hisao - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Painting 1960-14, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 219,049.99).

Die Arbeit Painting 1960-14 von Domoto Hisao wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Brushwork III – Abstract Masters bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 70.542,26) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 30%. Für andere Arbeiten von Domoto Hisao mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Painting 1960-14 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 219.049,99) versteigert wurde.
