Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Ensembles Binaires No. 15 by Domoto Hisao for HKD 16,250.00 (€ 1,829.77). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domoto Hisao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Painting 1960-14 in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 219,049.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Ensembles Binaires No. 15 von Domoto Hisao für HKD 16.250,00 (€ 1.829,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Domoto Hisao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Painting 1960-14 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 219.049,99).
