Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Domoto Hisao could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The House Sale auction, the work Solution de continuité changed hands for USD 657.25 (€ 546.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Domoto Hisao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Painting 1960-14 in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,875,000.00 (€ 219,049.99).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Domoto Hisao konnte im Juli 2004 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Solution de continuité für USD 657,25 (€ 546,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Domoto Hisao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Painting 1960-14 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.875.000,00 (€ 219.049,99).
