Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dmitri Baltermants could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Cosmonaut Ahmet Han Syltan, 1961 changed hands for USD 4,780.00 (€ 2,420.25) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dmitri Baltermants have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Grief (Ditch of Kertsch) in October 2013 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,114.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dmitri Baltermants konnte im April 2004 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Cosmonaut Ahmet Han Syltan, 1961 für USD 4.780,00 (€ 2.420,25) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dmitri Baltermants auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Grief (Ditch of Kertsch) im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.114,76).
