Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Mother Of Fishermen Of Khantimansijsk', 1972 by Dmitri Baltermants was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2017. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,307.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitri Baltermants - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grief (Ditch of Kertsch), which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,114.76).
