Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,362.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitri Baltermants - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grief (Ditch of Kertsch), which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,114.76).
