Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sorrow (Ditch of Kerch) by Dmitri Baltermants was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,362.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitri Baltermants - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grief (Ditch of Kertsch), which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,114.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sorrow (Ditch of Kerch) von Dmitri Baltermants kam im Oktober 2021 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.362,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dmitri Baltermants mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grief (Ditch of Kertsch) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.114,76) versteigert wurde.
