Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Red Square', 1960S by Dmitri Baltermants was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,019.89) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitri Baltermants - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grief (Ditch of Kertsch), which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,114.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Red Square', 1960S von Dmitri Baltermants kam im Mai 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.019,89) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Dmitri Baltermants mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grief (Ditch of Kertsch) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.114,76) versteigert wurde.
