Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2014 Phillips in London held the auction Photographs, which included the work At Fidel Castro's place by Dmitri Baltermants. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,918.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitri Baltermants - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grief (Ditch of Kertsch), which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,114.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2014 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit At Fidel Castro's place von Dmitri Baltermants zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.918,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dmitri Baltermants mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grief (Ditch of Kertsch) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.114,76) versteigert wurde.
