Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2001 Christies in Los Angeles held the auction PHOTOGRAPHS, which included the work Attack! by Dmitri Baltermants. The »bidding war« ended at USD 4,112.50 (€ 4,590.87), 18% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dmitri Baltermants - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Grief (Ditch of Kertsch), which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 13,750.00 (€ 10,114.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2001 führte Christies in Los Angeles die Auktion PHOTOGRAPHS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Attack! von Dmitri Baltermants zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 4.112,50 (€ 4.590,87) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Dmitri Baltermants mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Grief (Ditch of Kertsch) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für USD 13.750,00 (€ 10.114,76) versteigert wurde.
