This price was achieved in the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 90,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Diego Giacometti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La console 'Hommage à Böcklin' in October this year with an auction result of GBP 5,122,000.00 (€ 5,881,478.99).
