Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Death Of Lincoln by Dexter Dalwood was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in March 2016. The price achieved of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 22,095.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Dexter Dalwood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Brian Jones' Swimming Pool in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 144,000.00 (€ 213,474.83).
