Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Poles Apart by Derek Jarman. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,788.97), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Derek Jarman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sightless in October 2001 with an auction result of GBP 18,800.00 (€ 30,383.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poles Apart von Derek Jarman zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.788,97) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Derek Jarman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sightless im Oktober 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.800,00 (€ 30.383,54).
