Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Special P by Derek Boshier for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 51,305.95). This price was achieved in the auction Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Derek Boshier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Man Versus Look, Versus Life, Versus Time, Versus Man About in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 237,500.00 (€ 266,985.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Special P von Derek Boshier für GBP 43.750,00 (€ 51.305,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Derek Boshier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Man Versus Look, Versus Life, Versus Time, Versus Man About im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 237.500,00 (€ 266.985,22).
