Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Derek Boshier could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2017 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern/British Art Online auction, the work Gulf Coast Businessman changed hands for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,128.40) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derek Boshier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man Versus Look, Versus Life, Versus Time, Versus Man About in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 237,500.00 (€ 266,985.22).
