Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2021 Christies in London held the auction Modern British Art Day Sale, which included the work Highlights by Derek Boshier. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,089.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Derek Boshier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Man Versus Look, Versus Life, Versus Time, Versus Man About in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 237,500.00 (€ 266,985.22).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Highlights von Derek Boshier zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.089,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Derek Boshier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Man Versus Look, Versus Life, Versus Time, Versus Man About im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 237.500,00 (€ 266.985,22).
