Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fireplaces by David Ratcliff was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2013. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,245.16) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Ratcliff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abstract Painting (Floor) in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 22,800.00 (€ 17,233.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fireplaces von David Ratcliff kam im April 2013 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.245,16) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Ratcliff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abstract Painting (Floor) im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.800,00 (€ 17.233,56).
