Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2018 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included the work Cosmic Incapacity by David Ratcliff. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,047.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Ratcliff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Abstract Painting (Floor) in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 22,800.00 (€ 17,233.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2018 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cosmic Incapacity von David Ratcliff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.047,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Ratcliff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Abstract Painting (Floor) im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.800,00 (€ 17.233,56).
