In February 2007 Phillips in New York held the auction Under the Influence, which included the work Abstract Painting (Floor) by David Ratcliff. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,800.00 (€ 17,233.56), 52% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Abstract Painting (Floor) the most expensive artwork by David Ratcliff that we have observed at auctions so far.
