Sold at the lower estimate price
In July 2020 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work ANTENNA EFFECT by David Ratcliff. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,115.42) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Ratcliff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Abstract Painting (Floor) in February 2007 with an auction result of USD 22,800.00 (€ 17,233.56).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Juli 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit ANTENNA EFFECT von David Ratcliff zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.115,42) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Ratcliff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Abstract Painting (Floor) im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 22.800,00 (€ 17.233,56).
