This artwork by David Hare achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in September 2007. In the Contemporary Part I and Part II auction, the work Rain-Cloud-Sun sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 9,670.16) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Hare - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Picasso's meninas. 1973., which sold at auction in December 2019 for CHF 25,920.00 (€ 23,856.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von David Hare erzielte im September 2007 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Part I and Part II wurde die Arbeit Rain-Cloud-Sun für USD 13.750,00 (€ 9.670,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Hare mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Picasso's meninas. 1973. beobachtet, die im Dezember 2019 für CHF 25.920,00 (€ 23.856,00) versteigert wurde.
