Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Goddess Of Fruit - Dancing Around by David Boyd was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009. It changed hands for a price of AUD 24,000.00 (€ 14,110.07) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Boyd - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monoliths, 1962, which sold at auction in May last year for AUD 51,045.00 (€ 47,567.79).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 24.000,00 (€ 14.110,07) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von David Boyd mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Monoliths, 1962 beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für AUD 51.045,00 (€ 47.567,79) versteigert wurde.
