This artwork by David Boyd achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Sidney in May last year. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work Monoliths, 1962 sold for AUD 51,045.00 (€ 47,567.79) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 20,000.00. This high result makes Monoliths, 1962 the most expensive artwork by David Boyd that we have observed at auctions so far.
