Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2008 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian the King Of The Castle Ii by David Boyd. The price achieved of AUD 57,600.00 (€ 33,623.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Other works by David Boyd have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May last year the work Monoliths, 1962 was auctioned for AUD 51,045.00 (€ 47,567.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2008 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian the King Of The Castle Ii von David Boyd zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 57.600,00 (€ 33.623,89) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von David Boyd konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai letzten Jahres die Arbeit Monoliths, 1962 für AUD 51.045,00 (€ 47.567,79) versteigert.
