Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Priest With Angel Guard by David Boyd was sold in the Australian Art auction at Christies in London in September 2015. The price achieved of GBP 7,250.00 (€ 9,818.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Boyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Monoliths, 1962 in May last year with an auction result of AUD 51,045.00 (€ 47,567.79).

Die Arbeit Priest With Angel Guard von David Boyd wurde im September 2015 in der Auktion Australian Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.250,00 (€ 9.818,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Boyd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Monoliths, 1962 im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 51.045,00 (€ 47.567,79).
