Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vide-Poches by Daniel Spoerri was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,159.00 (€ 1,955.62) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel Spoerri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Herdöpfelschälerli, 1963-1979 in May 2015 with an auction result of CHF 156,000.00 (€ 150,877.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vide-Poches von Daniel Spoerri kam im April diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.159,00 (€ 1.955,62) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniel Spoerri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Herdöpfelschälerli, 1963-1979 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 156.000,00 (€ 150.877,57).
